Attention: the new Cea Serin album is now available on iTunes.
We live in some weird times, folks. The music industry is in a huge state of flux and it’s hard to tell what is going to work and not work in this business. One thing is for sure, if a band gets signed to a label, they need to make a strong showing in sales in order for them to release a new album.
I understand that a lot of people don’t buy physical CDs anymore. That’s understandable. Digital downloads make things a lot easier.
Marcel Haster of Live Prog just released a great review of the new Cea Serin album. It’s a lengthy and in-depth review that covers a lot of ground in its near-20-minute span. And it’s not just a review! He covers some history of the band and some details about the members. I’m very pleased with this review because I think that Marcel really gets it. He brings up certain aspects of the band and understands why they’re there. He brings up certain decisions that were made and understands why they were implemented.
It’s great to see that some people out there really appreciate and understand what Cea Serin is all about.
So, if you were on the fence about picking up the new disc then take a listen to what Marcel has to say. He covers all the tracks on the album as well as some cool details about where Cea Serin has come from and where we might be going.
I’m very pleased to announce that Cea Serin has just inked a deal with Generation Prog Records.
For the past couple of weeks I was working hard at finding a new label home for Cea Serin. Honestly, I was a little worried because I hadn’t pushed Cea Serin to labels in quite some time now. I didn’t know how much had changed in the business of music.
I was eventually approached by Generation Prog. I visited their website and was very impressed. After talking to them I decided that this was the place for Cea Serin’s new release, “The Vibrant Sound of Bliss and Decay.”
So, I’m very happy to announce that as of today Cea Serin have a signed a deal with Generation Prog Records for our new release.
I also would like to take this opportunity to personally thank two friends of Cea Serin that really stepped up and put the word out there that we were looking for a new deal. These guys forwarded me some valuable info and said some very kind things about us to the right people. So I’d like to thank Lothar Hausfeld and Michael Kohsiek for being great friends to the band. Thanks, guys!
