New album by Rory Faciane

Hey folks, Cea Serin drummer extraordinaire, Rory Faciane, has a new CD coming out. He needs a little help when it comes to making the CDs though so check out what he has to offer for your donation:

“I have been working on solo drum music for about 8 years now when I have the opportunity or when creativity hits me. I recorded everything in my studio but had Scott Campbell and Glen Kuykendall mix it…..leave it to the pros! Jessica Vaughn took pictures and Jay Lamm put the artwork for the cover together. I’m at the point of getting CDs pressed and I need some help. I hate asking for money so I decided to do sort of a pre-sale. Here is how it looks if you donate.

5 to 10 = digital download of mp3 and wav. files
15 to 20 = CD and digital download30 to
40= CD, digital download and a pair of sticks signed
40 to 50= CD, digital download, pair of sticks and drumhead signed
50 and up = CD, digital download. sticks, drumhead and 2 minute drum solo recorded for you!
I’m very proud of how the CD and artwork have turned out. Its been a labor of love y’all. Will have videos coming soon!

Great news!  Cea Serin will be the second single off the upcoming Progstravaganza CD called “Beyond Frontiers.”

Working on a new video for “Ice”

I just wanted to drop a quick line to tell everyone that we’re working on a new video for “Ice.”
This song is a cover of a lesser-known Sarah McLachlan song that I’ve always loved from her album, “Fumbling Towards Ecstasy.”  It’s has been re-worked, slightly re-worded, and basically Cea Serin-ized, fitting nicely within the context of the upcoming album, “The Vibrant Sound of Bliss and Decay.”
It’s not a lyric video like the last one we released.  This is more of an official video that contains some performance elements as well as some very beautifully shot pieces.

Update:
The video is now done and will be released mid-September

Cea Serin signs with Generation Prog Records

I’m very pleased to announce that Cea Serin has just inked a deal with Generation Prog Records.

For the past couple of weeks I was working hard at finding a new label home for Cea Serin.  Honestly, I was a little worried because I hadn’t pushed Cea Serin to labels in quite some time now.  I didn’t know how much had changed in the business of music.

I was eventually approached by Generation Prog.  I visited their website and was very impressed.  After talking to them I decided that this was the place for Cea Serin’s new release, “The Vibrant Sound of Bliss and Decay.”

So, I’m very happy to announce that as of today Cea Serin have a signed a deal with Generation Prog Records for our new release.

I also would like to take this opportunity to personally thank two friends of Cea Serin that really stepped up and put the word out there that we were looking for a new deal.  These guys forwarded me some valuable info and said some very kind things about us to the right people.  So I’d like to thank Lothar Hausfeld and Michael Kohsiek for being great friends to the band.  Thanks, guys!
